Where Our Clients Traveled

Summer 2026
This summer, we saw a record number of families experience Europe for the first time, while returning travelers ventured farther, stayed longer, and looked for more meaningful ways to experience the places they already loved.
Greece was one of our most requested destinations, with more trips planned than last summer. Most clients combined an average of three destinations, balancing iconic favorites with smaller islands and a slower pace. Some of our favorite stops included Milos, Naxos, Mykonos, Antiparos, Hydra, and Crete. Others chose a different approach entirely, exploring the islands by private yacht and experiencing Greece from the water.
Lake Como remained a favorite for families. Some of the best days were also the simplest: a private boat, a swim in the lake, time along the shoreline, and a stop in Bellagio for a long lunch. In Kyoto, clients experienced private tea ceremonies with geiko and maiko, creating the kind of access that makes a trip especially memorable.
Slovenia was another highlight. While we often pair it with Croatia, one multigenerational family spent their entire trip exploring Slovenia, including Slovenian Istria and the spectacular UNESCO-listed Škocjan Caves. It was a reminder that Europe’s smaller countries can easily stand on their own.
We also loved sending families into the Bavarian Alps, just 90 minutes from Munich, where mountain scenery, villages, castles, and easy access to Austria create a natural pairing with the city.
Ireland remained a favorite, from a Seafari off Dingle to the sailing town of Kinsale, with stays at Adare Manor and Ashford Castle. Croatia and Montenegro also continued to gain momentum, especially for travelers drawn to boating, historic coastal towns, and Dubrovnik’s remarkable setting.
Closer to home, clients explored Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, California’s Redwood forests, and the beaches of Hawaii.
Across all of these journeys, the common thread was not simply where our clients went, but how they experienced each destination: privately, thoughtfully, and in a way that felt distinctly their own.

Looking Ahead

Festive Travel
While the leaves are only beginning to turn, festive travel planning is already in full swing at Springwell Travel Group. From ski chalets in the French Alps to private villas in Anguilla, our clients are looking ahead to memorable ways to celebrate the season with family and friends, surrounded by beautiful settings and exceptional service.
This year, many will spend the holidays skiing in favorites like Big Sky, Lake Louise, Telluride, Val D’Isere, Courchevel and New England, while others will trade snow for sunshine in St. Kitts & Nevis, Anguilla, or Mexico. We are also seeing growing interest in Argentina and Chile, along with European destinations that feel especially magical and cozy at this time of year, including England and Scotland.
Clients with a longer winter break, the extra time opens the door to destinations farther afield. African safaris, Australia, and New Zealand become especially appealing, giving the opportunity to make the journey worthwhile and explore places that can be harder to fit into a shorter holiday.
The most sought after festive stays are often reserved well in advance, making thoughtful planning especially important. Even when availability is limited, we love the challenge of finding the right solution and creating a holiday trip that feels personal, seamless, and worth looking forward to all year.

By the numbers: So far, our clients will be traveling across six continents and more than 17 countries throughout the holiday season.

2027 Trends We’re Watching
After years of packed itineraries and travel increasingly shaped by what is trending online, we are seeing a shift toward privacy, space, and a greater sense of discovery. Clients are seeking places that feel less crowded and more personal, from remote landscapes and private villas to destinations that still feel largely untouched.
We are also seeing travelers embrace a slower pace. Rather than trying to fit three cities into a nine or ten day trip, more clients are choosing fewer stops and longer stays. A ten day journey might now include just two destinations, with five or six nights in each, allowing time to settle in, discover favorite cafés and restaurants, revisit places they love, and experience a destination beyond its headline attractions. At the same time, interest continues to grow in lesser explored corners of Europe and farther flung destinations where the journey itself feels part of the adventure.

For 2027, we expect the most compelling trips to be less about how much you can fit in and more about how deeply you can experience a place: greater privacy, more time, fewer crowds, and travel that feels distinctly personal.
